Anime and Animation movies are often confusing for many people. Anime is a Japanese or Japanese-style animation film. Animation movies are western-style cartoons or children’s movies. Anime films, on the other hand, cover a wide range of topics and cater to a wider audience from children to adults. Western animations are limited to cartoons or children’s films and they cater to a smaller segment of the audience.
Anime production stresses more on the settings and characters than the motion or the animation, whereas western animations are more motion and animation-focused. Surely you must have watched anime on your Spectrum Select package or any other cable plan you have signed up for. Are you looking forward to binge-watch some exciting new anime this weekend? Try these shows:
1: Komi Can’t Communicate
Komi Can’t communicate is showing on Netflix. It’s a high school comedy. The main character is Komi a very beautiful girl with Social Anxiety. Her social anxiety makes her tongue-tied in public. She covers it by communicating through writing.
In comes an average Joe, a boy named Tadano. Komi reached out to Tadano because he also has fear of gym class. Komi tells him about her social anxiety and inability to talk in public. There are other characters in the Anime. They are all eccentric and odd teenage characters. The Anime has its comic moments too. It’s one of the best Anime of 2022.
2: Star Wars: Vision
This Anime is based on the Hollywood blockbuster Star Wars. Normally Anime is about Japanese culture, but Star War: Vision has changed this trend. As many Western blockbusters are popular in Japan and likewise anime genre is gaining popularity in the west. It makes financial sense to bring both together, and make Western theme-based anime.
Star War: Vision is available on Disney+. It is one of the most-watched Anime. An interesting fact is that seven animation studios have made 9 stand-alone episodes of Star War: Visions. This leaves a fresh flavor in the audience of every episode. There isn’t a repetitive staleness to the series.
It is a highly recommended Anime for Star War fans and non-fans.
3: Tokyo Revengers
As the name suggests it is a violent, crime mystery. It is a blend of the recent time-traveling troupe and delinquent gang politics. It is a well narrated Anime, at times you can’t tell who the Tokyo revenger is? It keeps this slow-burn series interesting if you are a fan of violence-filled mysteries. The show revolves around high school bullies and how it affects the lives of bullied children.
The protagonist somehow is a time traveler, who travels back and forth time to avert a certain event from occurring. In the beginning, he is an innocent teenage boy who turns into a delinquent as the series progresses.
It becomes slightly annoying to keep remembering the present and the past of the characters as the story keeps jumping between the present time and the mid-2000s. It can be a good watch for those who like slow-burn mysteries.
4: Jujutsu Kaisen
The Action-packed Anime is set in the present day with our protagonist a young and curious boy who is the custodian of a family curse and is a member of an occult club. This club doesn’t believe in curses unless…
